  • OSS Donates $100,000 to Alabama School of Cyber Technology and Engineering (ASCTE)

    FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Huntsville, Alabama – Offset Strategic Services (OSS), the Huntsville-based Veteran-Owned Business of the Year, 2023, proudly announces its $100,000 donation to the Alabama School of Cyber Technology & Engineering (ASCTE), a unique institution that stands in the top 1% of high schools nationally. Known as the only high school in the nation that integrates cyber tech and engineering throughout the curriculum. ASCTE is a public state magnet boarding high school with 9th-12th grade students from all over Alabama.

This significant contribution by the OSS reflects the company’s dedication to creating an “offset”—providing a strategic advantage to those who might not otherwise have one. By supporting ASCTE, the OSS is helping to level the playing field for students across Alabama particularly in the fields of technology and engineering.

"Our partnership with ASCTE is more than just a financial donation; it's about providing a tangible advantage to these bright young minds," stated TJ Wright, President of the OSS. “By leveraging our expertise in Autonomy and our experience with NATO, PM UAS, USSOCOM, and PEO GVSC, we enhance what these students receive from ASCTE's already incredible curriculum, facilities, staff, and resources.”

The OSS’s involvement extends to its MAD (Missiles, Machines, AI, and Drones) program, where the company’s experts offer weekly engineering mentorship to the ASCTE Robotics team. This initiative is designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge necessary to navigate and excel in the rapidly evolving tech landscape.

This school is in the top 1% of high schools nationally, and its diverse student body exemplifies the incredible talent and potential that we, as a community, need to nurture,” Wright added. “In addition to our monetary donation of $100,000, we also provide mentorship to the ASCTE Robotics team to demonstrate how OSS provides an 'offset'—giving these students an advantage and opening doors to future success in technology and engineering, which will strengthen our nation. It's an incredible honor and opportunity to make a meaningful difference.
